PRECIS Institute
The “Research Infrastructure for the Development of Intelligent Innovative Products, Processes and Services / PRECIS” Centre resulted from project with the same name, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund, had as its main objective the expansion of the current infrastructure and research activities of the Politehnica University of Bucharest, the Faculty of Automation and Computers, to achieve the technological transfer and the development of innovative new generation products, processes and services mainly intended for industry and health. At the same time, the project aimed at approaching new priority research directions at the international and national level, with an impact on increasing the competitiveness of the Romanian economy, and the acquisition of equipment that facilitates the realization of these researches.
The PRECIS Institute is the excellence research-development-innovation institute of the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest, following the research-development activities innovation within the Faculty of Automation and Computers.
The PRECIS Institute has as its main object of activity the realization of research-development activities advanced and frontier innovations that respond to real problems and needs of society, at the national level and internationally, implementing the development strategies of the European Union.
The PRECIS Institute is part of the sustainable development strategy of a sustainable university campus of Bucharest Polytechnics. The PRECIS building comprises systems optimized through integrated management applications and they are themselves part of the research-development laboratories, for carrying out research in the field.
The PRECIS Institute contributes to the strategy of the Bucharest Polytechnic regarding internationalization and policies European by participating in the relevant forums and associations, such as CESAER, EAIE European Association for International Education, EDEN European Distance and e-Learning Network, EUA European University Association, EUA Council for Doctoral Education, HUMANE International Network for Higher Education Professionals, EELISA European University.
