Laura Ruse (Dragomir) is an associate professor and researcher in the Computer Science Department at the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA of Bucharest. She holds a Ph.D. in computer science, specializing in Wireless Sensor Networks, Internet of Things and Mobile Operating Systems.

She has experience as a researcher in national and international projects sponsored by the European Union in the fields of Wireless Sensor Networks, Internet of Things, networking, and indoor localization. She has worked as a researcher in collaboration with the Academy of Romanian Scientists and with VirtualMetrix Inc. For the past 5 years, she has been an academic ambassador in collaboration with Google/Fitbit.
