Vasile Calofir has over 12 years of interdisciplinary expertise in systems theory, electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic actuations, as well as the modeling and simulation of nonlinear processes. His research visibility is supported by the publication of 3 books, 2 book chapters, and 43 specialized articles indexed in international databases.
„Se știe că un profesor bun e cel care te face ca lucrurile mai grele să ți se pară ușoare.”
— Grigore Moisil
Vasile Calofir is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Automatic Control and Computers, within the National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest. Throughout his academic career, he has been involved in teaching courses on Systems Theory, Electric Machines and Actuations, and Intelligent Actuation Systems. In February 2024, he earned his PhD in Systems Engineering with a thesis titled “Monitoring and Control Systems for Nonlinear Processes.”
His research activity includes participation in 6 institutional development projects and 9 research projects, notably including “Digital Platform for Estimating Seismic Building Degradation Using Machine Learning Techniques (DIGITERRA)” and “e-Learning Solutions in Energy (SeLE),” where he served as project director.
