Catalin NEGRU is Senior Researcher at the Research Center for Innovative Products, Processes, and Services (PRECIS) within the University Politehnica of Bucharest. He received a Ph.D. in Computer Ccience at UPB, in 2016. He has important scientific and scholarly contributions in the field of Large-Scale Distributed Systems (design and performance) and specifically regarding resource management in heterogeneous distributed systems such as Edge and Cloud computing. His research interests also include, Big Data Management, Data Reduction. He published over 60 papers in ISI journals (e.g., FGCS, SOCO, SENSORS, IJSTA), Ranked conferences (e.g., PODC, CISIS, ICCP, ISPDC, AQTR) and book chapters. During his career, he has been involved in national and international research projects in the area of cloud computing, smart city and pervasive services.
