Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Ing. Adina-Magda Florea
  • M.Sc.: Artificial Intelligence, University Politehnica of Bucharest, 2016-2018
  • Bachelor’s Degree: Computer Science, University Politehnica of Bucharest, 2012-2016
    Specialization: Core Programming (C3)
  • High School: National College of Informatics “Tudor Vianu,” 2008-2012

Lecturer at the Faculty of Automation and Computers. Former olympic in informatics, both in high school and during college, representing UPB 4 times in a row at the Southeast European phase of the ACM (ACM SEERC) competition. I like algorithms, mathematics and its applications in artificial intelligence. In my spare time I like to play various instruments or do endurance sports.

“The one who endures to the end will be saved.”

I started teaching unofficially since the second year and over time I realized that I want to make a profession out of it. Over the years, I have held both seminars, laboratories, and courses, in Romanian and English, for bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Subjects I am currently working on: Algorithm analysis, Data Structures and Algorithms, Algorithm Design, Knowledge Representation, Numerical Methods.
I started the research in 2017.
Projects in which I worked:
CONCERT – 2017-2018
ROBIN – Robots and Society: Cognitive Systems for Personal Robots and Autonomous Vehicles, 2018-2020.
PETRA – People Detection and Tracking for Social Robots and Autonomous Cars, 2020-2022
AI FOLK– 2022-2024
Digital Twins – 2023- present
I worked on the first project during my master’s degree and it involved modelling the sensors of a smart home, designed to help the elderly.
The following two projects overlapped with the period in which I did my doctorate and had as their goal the study of algorithms for intelligent machines, their modification and their application on a data set registered within the faculty.
The AI Folk project assumed the creation of a complex model for a multi-agent architecture in which various entities collaborate with each other, exchanging information about the neural networks used, in order to obtain better results for what they have to do. The considered applications were intelligent cars and the management of a natural disaster (such as a fire).
The Digital Twins project is an educational project that includes the creation and support of courses and is currently underway (2024).
Until now I have written or co-written 14 scientific articles and 1 has been accepted for publication. The list of publications can be consulted on Google Scholar and includes articles related to intelligent machines, robots or swarm intelligence algorithms.
