He completed his bachelor’s and master’s studies in the top 1% of his generation. He worked for a short time at the Research Institute for Computing Techniques in Bucharest, after which he followed a teaching career at the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering of the Polytechnic of Bucharest.
He has a doctorate in distributed databases and has published a series of articles on topics related to databases. He was also vice-dean of the faculty for a long period of time.
